I started a small business in November called Crochet Bytes. It had been mainly word of mouth and I have been selling a few items.

But Now! I finally made an official site for Crochet Bytes!

Bridal Set Completed

Here is what I am giving to my friend for her Bridal Shower :) I really loved making these! The pattern for the garter is from www.crochetmemories.com but the rose is my own design (the same from my icon) I also found a beautiful photo frame that I am going to include in the gift :)<br />I am going to make another garter for her a bit later (one to toss, one to keep)

This month has been really busy with graduations and wedding. Here are two items I made as gifts. They are handkerchiefs I made.
First I cut a square of fabric, punched holes into the edges with my edgerydoo and then crochet the edges. Both edges are my own design. The purple edged one is for my cousin's graduation and the blue edged one is a bridal shower gift for my friend. I am also making her a garter and I will post it when I am done.

Day 2

First day went well. Not to busy. I went home and we (my fiance and his roommate) went to the Chipshop in Brooklyn for some English Pub Food. Yum...I had shephard's pie and treacle with custard...and haggis LOL.

We watched the movies at home and then I went to sleep. Very stuffy. This morning I was a bit better. Got a little lost on the way to work but I made it (subway stairs got confusing). Just sitting here trying to cool off and off to start another day of work.

my finance leaves for Minnesota today and won't be back until Saturday. I hope he is here before I have to leave. Anyways, have a good day everyone!

First day on the job

So far so good. I don't have a fever anymore. Still stuffy but functional. I am at my friend's office right now and ready to start the day.

I am sick :(

Well, my slight cough for three days turned into full blown sick today with a grand temperature of 101.5F My fiance is taking care of me. I hope this does't interfere with my job tomorrow. After about 2 hours, it was down to 100F

If anything, I can do the job from here with a cell phone but this sucks because I am exhausted and I can barely type right now :P and my eyes burn. I am going to lie down now.

My first edgerydoo!

A good friend of mine surprised me the other day with an Edgerydoo Kit! I have always wanted one! It came just in time too because I had to make a receiving blanket for my cousin's baby shower! Just finished it up and I am really happy with it :)
The best part is that is only took less than a day to do.

Yet another creation by me! These stitchmarkers can be used for crochet or knit projects.

It has a spring ring clasp that will stay on your projects when you want it there and come off when you want it removed. There are large blue decorative beads on each stitchmarker and each individual stitchmarker has a different colored spacer beads so you can tell them apart.

They are also be used to hold your last stitch of your crochet project, so when you store it, your hardwork won't become unraveled. They make great charms too!
