yes, I have been bad

I haven't posted in ages....
Well, lets see, since I got back from Illinois...my fiance and I found an apartment and just recently, we got the co-op board approval! I am so happy because I really loved that apartment! Thinking of it makes me so happy!

At my parent's home, we are getting a new deck built. That is intersting. They are almost done with it. I can't wait until it is done.

I am been studying really hard for my exam. I just took a practice exam last week and even though I need to tweek some weak spots in my knowledge, I am going to do well. It does get fustrating though. I am waiting for this test to be over so I can get back to the real world.

I did however, take this weekend off. My fiance and another friend, threw a Halloween party. I went to that. It was fun but word to the wise, omit frosting next time.......what a mess LOL. I went as Poison Ivy from Batman. I had fun putting together the costume. The best part of the party was seeing Jason. I had not seen him for a while, one on one time, and I really missed him. He is just a wonderful person.

Anway, now I am back home, daily studies will start tomorrow. It is going to be more concentrated now that I know my weak spots. Wish me luck. Type later.

Back from Illinois, recovered from the road trip, still not quite unpacked but ready to go :) That course was the best thing I could have possible done. It has given me new direction and enthusiasm. I know I am going to pass that test now.

ROAD TRIP!

Going to Illinois tomorrow. I am going to drive and it will take 15 hours (roughly) I will be stopping in Pittsburgh, PA for lunch with my cousin and then staying the night near Cincinati, Ohio with my Aunt. The next day I will be in Savoy, Illinois and I will be there for a month for a test prep course. See you all later!

Mango is doing better

I am so relieved. Everyone was pulling for him. He is such an important part of our lives. He slept after I brought him home on Monday. Tuesday, he ate like two seeds and still was pretty tired. When I took him back to the vet's office, he tried to explore the place. It was cute. He did not want to stay in his traveling cage. I don't blame him.

When I brought him home today, he chirped when he saw the house. He ate dinner with the family (his usual habit, he waits until he sees us eating and joins in with his seeds). He didn't eat much but I wasn't really expecting him to because they fed him at the vet's. He still seemed tired even though he started preening himself and chirping to us occationally so I put him to bed early. I did give him the heating pad again.

Tomorrow I have to take him back to the vet. They are treating him as an outpatient. They are going to show me how to give him his antibiotics and then make sure that he is hydrated and fed.

My sister is coming home tomorrow. :) I can't wait to see her. I know she really wants to see Mango. He is our kid brother you know.

Took Mango to the vet

Since my last post, I took Mango to the vet. They are going to keep him for a few hours today for antibiotics, incubator, oxygen and feeding with vitamins. I am to pick him up later today. If he survives the night, then I am to bring him back tomorrow.

They are letting us take him home because if he is going to die, we would rather it be with us, his family.

My heart is sad.

My wonderful cockatiel, Mango, is sick. I don't know if he is going to get better. He is the joy of the whole family and everyone loves him. I pray that he gets better but if he is in pain, I hope that it doesn't prolong. I love him so much.

Hello One and All

Haven't posted in a bit. Very busy. My vegetable garden is doing great! :) I went to a bachelorette party last weekend, been studying during the week (and of course the mandatory crocheting LOL) and this weekend is my friend's Wedding! :) I am so excited! This is the first time I have ever been a bride's maid. Jason is a groom's men.

I just wanted to give a thought to my friend in IA...I hope your results for your test were good. Lots of hugs to you. I also hope that you have not been affected by the flooding over there. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Update Busy :)

Ok, so last night, mom and I had to go to the grocery store at 9 pm to get ready for our guests. Then, as soon as I got home, I made two desserts (my part of the dinner) right away so that I didn't have to make it today (Friday). Then, I went to bed.

Today, I dealt with the bridesmaid dress thing (wrong size, had to get another one, had to get a recipt faxed etc) Got two pairs of shoe (I am a shoe hog...but one is silvery flats to wear after the wedding ceremony so I can dance/walk and the other is black 1/2 inch wedged shoes for when I go to the bachelorette party) That is going to be an interesting party to say the least. LOL

Then, I went to the grocery store for last minute items, came home, straighten up my room, vacuumed and then watered my garden. They are coming over at 7:30pm so I have some time to relax now :) Talk to you all later!

AHHH!!

Ok, so we knew that my aunt and uncle (and their inlaws) were coming sometime this week. We thought on Saturday. They just called and said they are coming TOMORROW! AHHHH On quick scramble now trying to get everything ready. Plus, one of the bridesmaids for a wedding I am attending, her dress doesn't fit! I had to help her quick get another dress. The wedding is coming up really fast too. Gotta go! Bye

Bridal Set Completed

Here is what I am giving to my friend for her Bridal Shower :) I really loved making these! The pattern for the garter is from www.crochetmemories.com but the rose is my own design (the same from my icon) I also found a beautiful photo frame that I am going to include in the gift :)<br />I am going to make another garter for her a bit later (one to toss, one to keep)

This month has been really busy with graduations and wedding. Here are two items I made as gifts. They are handkerchiefs I made.
First I cut a square of fabric, punched holes into the edges with my edgerydoo and then crochet the edges. Both edges are my own design. The purple edged one is for my cousin's graduation and the blue edged one is a bridal shower gift for my friend. I am also making her a garter and I will post it when I am done.

Day 2

First day went well. Not to busy. I went home and we (my fiance and his roommate) went to the Chipshop in Brooklyn for some English Pub Food. Yum...I had shephard's pie and treacle with custard...and haggis LOL.

We watched the movies at home and then I went to sleep. Very stuffy. This morning I was a bit better. Got a little lost on the way to work but I made it (subway stairs got confusing). Just sitting here trying to cool off and off to start another day of work.

my finance leaves for Minnesota today and won't be back until Saturday. I hope he is here before I have to leave. Anyways, have a good day everyone!

First day on the job

So far so good. I don't have a fever anymore. Still stuffy but functional. I am at my friend's office right now and ready to start the day.

I am sick :(

Well, my slight cough for three days turned into full blown sick today with a grand temperature of 101.5F My fiance is taking care of me. I hope this does't interfere with my job tomorrow. After about 2 hours, it was down to 100F

If anything, I can do the job from here with a cell phone but this sucks because I am exhausted and I can barely type right now :P and my eyes burn. I am going to lie down now.

My first edgerydoo!

A good friend of mine surprised me the other day with an Edgerydoo Kit! I have always wanted one! It came just in time too because I had to make a receiving blanket for my cousin's baby shower! Just finished it up and I am really happy with it :)
